The Division of Behavioral Health is seeking an Intermediate Accountant for Central Office domiciled in Jefferson City, Missouri. This position reports to the Director of Fiscal Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Cost Reports related to the Certified Community Behavioral Healthcare Organizations (CCBHO),
• Financial development/oversight of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM),
• Act as the financial liaison for the division’s crisis programs, including 988 Call Centers, Mobile Crisis Services, and Behavioral Health Crisis Centers,
• Creating and interpreting reports for management decision making,
• Participating in the development of improved procedures and controls,
• Coordination of facility expenditures with facility fiscal staff, process appropriate reserve/flex/allotment request,
• Assistance with grants,
• Providing funding limits in our billing system.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience using a Microsoft Windows Operating System
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Medicaid
• Experience with:
  • writing SQL queries against a large scale database to collect and analyze information related to billing and financial trends;
  • interpreting this information into meaningful reports for management decision making;
  • assisting with the consolidated SAPT and MH block grant application; and
  • developing improved procedures and controls
• Ability to analyze financials and alert management of outliers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
