This is a temporary/seasonal position with OA/FMDC will participate in the maintenance and care of the grounds around the Fulton State Hospital complex and other various OA owned buildings within Fulton, working Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Must be available for occasional evening or weekend work and perform other duties as assigned.

• Mowing
• Trimming/pruning
• Watering
• Deadheading
• Digging
• Harvesting
• Staking
• Weeding
• Mulching
• Tree trimming/removal
• Caring for various plants/trees/shrubs, flowers and turf.
• Cleaning sidewalks
• Emptying trash cans
• Picking up trash and debris
• Assist in cleaning of parking lots and patching asphalt
• Assisting full time staff in building and equipment maintenance and repair of irrigation breaks when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to pick up/carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate gas and hand powered lawn maintenance tools and equipment.
• General knowledge of lawn care and grounds keeping.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older
• Must have, and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

This position is physically demanding. Examples of job duties may include prolonged periods of walking/ standing/ sitting/ bending, climbing ladders, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, working in inclement weather and working on uneven surfaces.
