State of Missouri is Hiring a Program Specialist - OQS Assessment Near Jefferson City, MO

Why you’ll love this position:

The Assessment Section manages test development, on-going test maintenance, and oversees the test administration for four statewide, large-scale assessments. The MAP assessments test students’ progress toward mastery of the Missouri Show-Me Standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Supports all components that make up the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP).
  • Complies with federal and state regulations regarding assessment and related issues.
  • Appropriately handles sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Serves as a liaison with MAP Grade-Level, End-of-Course, alternate, and English proficiency assessment, reading and other related program and fiscal staff.
  • Serves as liaison to MAP Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). Plans meeting logistics; communicates with members; processes payments and contracts.
  • Manages response tracking for school-based survey and data collection programs. Communicates with participating school districts and reports progress to relevant program director/s.
  • Maintains the assessment budgets.
  • Supports National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and works with the Missouri NAEP coordinator.
  • Prepares for various NAEP assessments and communicates with participating districts/schools.
  • Prepares annual and other periodic NAEP reports as required by National Center for Education Statistics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or high school equivalency
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of English language conventions, keyboarding skills, and mathematics
