The Missouri Bureau of Immunization's mission is to stop the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases by providing vaccines to children and adolescents who cannot pay for them through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. This position serves as the program lead for the school and child care programs. What you’ll do:

• Provide technical assistance to school and child care staff, health care providers, parents and the public regarding immunizations and the immunization requirements for children enrolled in school and child care.
• Provide technical assistance and training regarding the school and day care program to the local public health departments, schools, and daycare facilities throughout Missouri.
• Collect, compile and prepare data for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention annual school and child care assessment reports.
• Assist in the preparation of grant and annual reports submitted to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
• Develop, coordinate and conduct training for school nurses, child care facility directors and staff regarding immunization requirements and annual immunization reporting instructions

• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make swift, confident decisions.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal level of supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of commitment to serve others and work as a team.
• Experience in public health and immunizations preferred.
• Superior phone and customer service skills.
• Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed.)
