This position will be responsible for: Transcription / Data Entry: Transfer physician orders by transcribing information exactly as it was written to appropriate places including lab slips, consults (diet, x-ray, OT/ PT, restorative, etc.).File information into resident’s Medical Record daily.Ward Clerk Coverage: Provide clerical support to other units to assist nursing and physician staff in documentation duties (example: admissions, readmissions, transfers, and resident appointments). This would also include filing, chart maintenance, flowsheets and forms, weight rosters, treatment logs, etc.Answers incoming calls; receives or gives information as needed, directs call to appropriate person or takes messages when necessary.Answers call bells at nurses’ station and notify staff of resident’s needs/request. Complete work orders for the nursing unit. Assists nursing supervisor in posting notices, memos, and policies/procedures for the nursing unit to facilitate communication on the unit Longleaf Neuro Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC) is a certified Medicare and Medicaid facility nursing home that provides a continuum of care to both adults with severe and persistent mental illness that also have long-term medical conditions requiring residential, medical and nursing care, and to adults with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or other related dementia. LNMTC facilitates high quality skilled and intermediate nursing care throughout four Nursing Unit Floors and an Alzheimer's Unit that operates 24 hours seven days a week, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
