State of North Carolina is Hiring an User Support Manager Near Durham, NC

North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) is a program designed to improve the way the DHHS and the 100 county departments of social services conduct business. NC FAST introduces new technological tools and business processes that will enable staff to spend less time performing administrative tasks and more time assisting families.
 
The position responsibilities include:
  • Leadership and management of the NCFAST Desktop Support Staff including professional growth staff development through mentoring, counseling, leading and disciplining. 
  • Day-to-day operations of the NCFAST Desktop infrastructure including developing operational processes and procedures to ensure the allocation of resources and status reporting.
  • Provide planning and analysis for NCFAST on end user computing issues.
  • Develop all processes and procedures related to this section.
  • Provide positive leadership through being a team player, excellent communication skills and superior customer service skills. 
  • Responsible for all MDM deployments to cell phones and tablets for NCFAST personnel.

  • Proven leadership experience in providing direction to staff, keeping projects and operations on schedule 
  • Demonstrated experience with developing strategic direction, goals, plans, and policies. 
  • Demonstrated experience using tools such as LANDesk, SCCM, ServiceNow, and MDM technologies. 
  • Demonstrated experience making independent decisions and judgement on matters of significance and solving of complex problems.
Management Preference will be given to candidates with:
  • Ability to assist staff with troubleshooting IT Technologies such as Office 365, Active Directory, and imaging of computers.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in the information technology field;

Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in the information technology field;
OR High School or GED and eight years of progressive experience in the information technology field;
