The Academic and Career Advisor facilitates academic plan development, career advising, registration assistance, and academic strategy cultivation with an assigned caseload of newly admitted students, students in their fist semester of enrollment, and continuing students aimed at student success, persistence, retention, progression, and completion. The position maintains thirty (30) hours of advising availability per week, participates in on-going training provided by the Center and assigned academic department(s), facilitates early interventions, and regularly uses available technologies to ensure accurate and effective advising.

Experience in student service programsBachelor’s degree plus three (3) years experience in student services programs/ academic advising or an achieved Master’s degree.
