Job Duties:
  • The Director of Policy and Engagement is responsible for providing leadership to and oversight of the policy and engagement teams. The position is responsible for providing senior level oversight in the development of a well-informed agency wide policy manual which provides clear, useful, and accessible guidance for Agency staff, ensuring policy is driven by the Agency's mission and other external drivers. This position is also responsible for oversight of systems engagement work with internal and external stakeholders through various engagement strategies to inform system improvement efforts. This position will be responsible for developing and drafting reports, data collection, analysis, and process improvement efforts for all assigned projects and providing strategic recommendations for planning, goal setting, and oversight/administration of contracts.
  • Manage the development of an efficient and modern policy development, revision, review, approval, and publishing process and works with functional areas to ensure alignment with both federal and state laws and regulations, best practice standards, and stakeholder feedback. Responding to any FOIA request for policy documents as requested by the Office of General Council and other relevant parties.
  • Responsible for the development of assigned state and federal accountability and expenditure reports.
  • Conducts periodic audits of policy and practice standards to ensure quality and timely revisions of policy and practice standards.
  • Manages assigned contracts, grants, and agreements and closely monitors outcomes, invoices, and other functional and business aspects of the procurement for which this position is responsible.
  • Serves as a cross-functional and cross-sectional resource for the agency in leading assigned projects and system improvement initiatives. Assisting with efforts to bring about intended conditions of changes in the agency and community.
  • Provides oversight of stakeholder engagement strategies in assigned projects for the agency and communicates utilization data and stakeholder feedback to functional areas to inform policy, practice, and program improvement.
  • Will be required to perform Red Cross shelter/emergency response duties as directed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

Agency Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree and relevant program experience.
A Masters Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, or other relevant experience.
