Job Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Lead Educator/Principal. Perform as the Teacher's Aide of the Education Department at the SC Youth Challenge Academy (SCYCA) and South Carolina Job Challenge Academy (SCJCA). Perform duties as the GED Administrator testing cadets at Youth Challenge and Job Challenge when necessary. Assist with substituting classes in the absence of a teacher, in the subjects of ELA, Math, Social Studies or Science. Assist with tutoring cadets at SCYCA, as well as SCJCA if needed. Assist with any administrative duties assigned by the Lead Educator. Attend trainings and meetings as scheduled. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma, experience with substitute teaching and/or experience working in the educational field, and experience working with youth.
Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree, 2 years of experience with substitute teaching and/or working in the educational field, and 2 years of experience working with youth.
