The South Dakota Commission on Gaming is hiring a Gaming Technology Specialist to join their Spearfish, SD team. In our team, integrity is everything! This individual contributor role will assess vulnerabilities and work with licensees to establish or maintain internal controls for risk mitigation and minimize cyber threats and/or breaches; evaluate and audit employee access rights; conduct investigations; enforce the rules and regulations of the South Dakota Commission on Gaming as it relates to internal controls, casino management systems, and general gaming; evaluate casino management systems to ensure approved software is installed; and participate in observation and inspection programs.

The Ideal Candidate Will HaveThis position is open to entry level candidates. Currently possess OR have the knowledge and ability to sit for a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification through ISACA and have general MTAs related to database, networking, and security fundamentals.
Experience working in collaborative team environments, demonstrating effective time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail. Equally important will be a strong work ethic, integrity, interpersonal skills, discretion, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.
Knowledge Of
  • the gaming industry and casino management systems;
  • investigative and auditing techniques;
  • effective communication techniques; and
  • database, networking, and system security fundamentals.

  • conduct fact-finding audits and investigations;
  • analyze gathered information, prepare detailed reports, and present information;
