State of Utah is Hiring a Chaplain - Part-Time Near Sanpete County, UT

Are you looking for a part-time position that will give you the opportunity and satisfaction of making a difference in others lives and the community? This position may be for you. This position offers flexible hours, up to 29 hours per week, with Friday afternoons being mandatory. 
Principal Duties: 
As the Chaplain, you will administer various religious programs and services at a State Institution and serving the religious and spiritual needs of residents and/or inmates and staff.
You will also perform duties including:
  • Develops and coordinates volunteer programs and visits, counsels and advises residents and/or inmates, prepares and conducts non-denominational religious services, advises the families of the residents and/or inmates.
  • Prepares correspondence and reports, produces religious brochures, maintains files and records, performs public relations in the community.

  • Coordinates staffing, schedules, assignments and work priorities of employees or volunteers.
  • Provides a religious and spiritual atmosphere serving the needs of a state institution.
  • Coordinates program activities, services, and/or program implementation with private providers, other governmental entities, program users, etc.

  • Risks found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations, e.g. working at great heights, working in extreme outdoor weather conditions, being subject to possible physical attack, etc.
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
  • Salary ranges specified reflect a minimum starting and top of range dollar amount. Actual rate per hour will be determined by evaluation of qualifications and skills of the individual and the availability of monies through budget and grants or by following DHRM rule.
