The Agency of Digital Services is seeking an IT Vendor Relationship Specialist to join it's recently created Vendor Relations Team. This role shall be pivotal in managing the intricate dynamics between the Agency and its technology suppliers. The Vermont Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is a state agency responsible for leading Vermont's digital transformation efforts. Established in 2017, ADS consolidates various IT functions and resources from across state government into a single agency. Its primary mission is to modernize Vermont's technology infrastructure, improve service delivery to residents and businesses, and enhance government efficiency and effectiveness through digital innovation. ADS oversees the development and implementation of statewide IT policies, strategies, and initiatives, collaborates with state agencies and departments to meet their technology needs, and manages key enterprise technology systems and services. Additionally, ADS plays a critical role in cybersecurity, data governance, and digital accessibility efforts to ensure that Vermont's digital services are secure, accessible, and user-friendly for all residents.
This position will provide opportunity to manage strategic vendor relationships, contribute to impactful projects, and make a difference in public service through effective technology procurement and management.

Work is performed in a standard office setting. The role involves intensive interaction with departmental officials who may advocate strongly for their programs. Implementation of recommendations may be difficult because of competing interests and limited resources. Rapid response in the face of tight deadlines may be necessary. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Work outside of the regular work schedule may be anticipated.
Four (4) years or more experience in business, business science, logistics, contract administration, or contract law, or five (5) years’ experience in a related field along with at least one year of managerial experience.
Associate’s degree in business, business science, logistics, or engineering and four (4) years’ experience in a related field along with at least one year of managerial experience.
