The Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1) is an entry level professional Human Resource Consultant, under the general supervision of the HR Workforce Development and Planning Manager, independently provides first level technical and professional advice and consultation to individuals at all levels of the organization. This includes appointments, classification, compensation, benefits, hiring, reasonable accommodations, layoffs/reversion, file management and protected leave. The incumbent works under the regular guidance of higher level human resource professionals and provides routine level advice pertaining to Commerce policies, procedures, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA). This position’s primary focus will be on the collection and conversation of position description forms and conversion to an electronic method.
