Correctional Industries (CI) within the Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill a permanent Administrative Assistant 3 position. This position is located at McNeil Island Stewardship in Steilacoom, WA. This position typically works Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Correctional Industries is committed to maintain and expand incarcerated worker training programs which develop marketable job skills, instill, and promote work ethics, and reduce the tax burden of Corrections. Under the supervision of the General Manager (GM), this position provides administrative support to the GM. This position supports day to day operation by assigning, monitoring, updating Incarcerated Worker payroll, Barge Scheduling, Fuel reporting, and purchasing submittals. This position assists the GM in revising all McNeil Island Stewardship standard operating procedures (SOP) and in drafting internal and external communications.
The Administrative Assistant position supports the objective of Correctional Industries by providing administrative and general business-related services and logistical coordination for the Grounds, Maintenance, Wastewater, Water Distribution and Vehicle Maintenace departments. This position is also responsible for monitoring, and overseeing the Incarcerated workforce files, payroll.
