DSHS DDA Administrative Assistant 3

The Stabilization Assessment and Intervention Facility (SAIF) within the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to join our team of dedicated professionals in Gig Harbor, WA. Join us today in our mission to Transform Lives!

Under the direction and supervision of a Stabilization Assessment Intervention Facility (SAIF) Program Administrator this position provides support for the SAIF Administration office. You will include Administrative support and assistance for the purpose of facilitation of department managers/supervisors and or relieving the manager and or staff members of day to day clerical responsibilities.
Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.

Some of what you'll do:
  • Perform confidential administrative office management assignments and administrative assistance for SAIF Program Administrator
  • Composes professionally cogent grammatically correct correspondence, reports and documents as directed by/on behalf of the program manager
  • Receives delegated administrative assignments requiring substantial knowledge of a variety of supportive requirements
  • Provides executive level assistance by reviewing, researching, organizing, prioritizing and preparing information to the SAIF Program Administrator
  • Liaison to convey information to and from visitors, families and staff to/from all office personnel at present location
  • Performs clerical tasks for the program such as filing, processing the mail, answering and transferring phone calls and performing reception duties for the office
  • Audit and maintain all participant financial records


We are looking for professionals with:

High school diploma or GED AND 3 years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work.
Formal education and/or training in office, bookkeeping or accounting will substitute year-for-year for the experience.
