We are seeking an Organization Strategy and Performance Consultant to support the Office of Financial Management (OFM) in building an equity driven culture of leading, promoting and facilitating change, continuously improving, seeking to understand the needs of our customers, engaging staff, planning strategically, and managing special projects.
Note: This is a hybrid position where you have the option to work from home, but must come into the Olympia office one day a week.

Duties

Some of what you'll do:

  • This position will use organization change management principles and quality improvement thinking and tools to improve processes and provide expert consultation and facilitation in leading groups forward in the pursuit of equity driven, customer focused, organizational change.
  • This position will focus on business strategy development and implementation, project management, organizational change management, process improvement, diversity, equity and inclusion. This includes coaching and supporting leaders to develop strategies to embed each of these disciplines in their business lines, supporting division strategic plan efforts, building leadership capacity for equity and belonging, process improvement, project management and organizational change. In addition, facilitating discussions around equity and belonging, change management, process improvement discussions throughout the agency and with statewide practitioners.
  • Work with division directors, staff and customers to assess organization health and business performance and work with division staff to co-create strategic goals while supporting teams to meet goals.
  • Lead, coordinate and participate in diversity, equity and inclusion conversations and activities.
Other business priorities
  • Lead organization change management strategies for staff adoption.
  • Provide OFM staff training, communication and support for transitions to the Workday system.
  • Build awareness and understanding of change impacts to staff.
  • Implement business and change initiatives to prepare to operationalize future state
  • Keep the OFM OneWa Organization Change Management and Communications plan updated
  • Communicate and collaborate across divisions and with other agency OCM consultants to share information and direction
  • Connect and communicate with OneWa OCM staff and IT staff by being proactive and implementing OCM activities as you see gaps
  • Participate in ongoing weekly check-in meetings with the Agency Support Team Lead and OFM OneWa Project Manager where you can elevate any concerns or kudos.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business administration, organization development, public administration, law, psychology, human services or a related field

AND

  • Four years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading Lean and process improvement analyses, practices and projects and/or organization change management principles.

OR
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organization development, public administration, law, psychology, human services or a related field

AND

  • Two years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading Lean and process improvement analyses, practices and projects and/or organization change management principles.
OR
  • Six years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting or leading Lean and process improvement analyses, practices and projects and/or organization change management principles.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prosci certification
  • Lean certification
  • Leadership development certification
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion certification
