What this job is about:
We are seeking a Workstream Specialist to serve as critical link between the OneWA program's technical and functional teams and the agencies preparing to transition to the Workday platform. As a Workstream Specialist you will ensure that technical guidance is communicated in an accessible and actionable manner, acting as translators who champion agency needs within the program. You will be pivotal in maintaining a customer-focused approach throughout the Workday implementation process, facilitating a seamless transition for agencies by adapting complex information into understandable formats.
As a Workstream Specialist you will ensure agencies are well-prepared for the Workday transition, bridging the gap between technical teams and agency users. Your unique blend of skills facilitates effective communication, proactive problem-solving, and a focus on customer needs throughout the project lifecycle. You will provide essential support, guidance, and contribute to the overall success of the OneWA program for a seamless adoption of Workday by all agencies involved.

Duties

What you'll do:

  • Translation and Communication: Adapt technical guidance into digestible formats (e.g., engaging webinars, FAQs, templates) ensuring understanding of information. Work as a translator into platform workstreams and other relevant teams to ensure OneWA engages agencies in an accessible way.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Communications and other project workstream experts to create engaging and informative materials, such as webinars, FAQs, and templates. Coordinate among other agency-facing roles within workstreams (e.g., Business Process Redesign Specialists, Legacy System Remediation Business Analysts, etc.) to streamline processes, prioritize workstream capacity, and ensure OneWA speaks with “one voice” to agencies.
  • Agency Advocacy: Champion agency needs within workstreams, ensuring a consistent focus on the end-users and their requirements for a successful Workday implementation.
  • Coordination and Streamlining: Facilitate collaboration among agency-facing roles to prioritize efforts, streamline communication, and present a unified message to agencies. Track and address frequent support requests and roadblocks from agencies by facilitating the creation of new guidance and resources that equip agencies.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide ongoing support to Agency Readiness Consultants, equipping them with essential information on agency tasks and success metrics. Support and guidance to Agency Consultants as needed, on workstream specific questions and problem-solving discussions to support agency readiness.
  • Proactive Engagement: Identify and mitigate potential organizational change management risks and address common agency questions and roadblocks with actionable solutions.
  • Escalation and Problem-Solving: Act as a primary point for escalating agency queries, coordinating with SMEs for resolution when necessary. Serve as the first point of escalation for agency questions, further escalating to SMEs for resolution as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, business, information technology or closely allied fields. * Two (2) years of relevant professional experience may substitute for the educational requirement;
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in organizational development, change management, knowledge management, process improvement, information technology projects, or closely allied fields;
  • Experience working in large scale, enterprise-wide information technology projects;
  • Project management, change management, and process improvement knowledge and experience;
  • Strong writing and editing skills; ability to quickly produce written materials that are clear, concise, inviting to read and effective in communicating the desired message; and
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to look at all aspects of a situation and determine the appropriate message to be communicated.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in organizational development, change management, knowledge management, information technology projects, or closely allied fields
  • Understanding of the functioning of state government, the legislative system and individual state agencies
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Basic knowledge of Workday
  • Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification
