Sr. Process Engineer opportunity! This role will drive the processes to manufacture a critical component of our novel life science instrument platform.

What you'll do:

• Use systematic problem-solving methods to troubleshoot complex issues related to product quality, stability and robustness. Recommend and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Mature new technologies and instruments (such as liquid handlers); modify and improve them and perform tests required for their qualification, validation and transfer.
• Design and conduct DOEs to optimize processes, improve manufacturability, and maximize yield and performance of products.

About you:

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without prior experience. Degree preferably in Materials Science/Eng, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or related discipline.
• Experience with surface chemistry process development preferred.
• Experience with product and process development, scale-up and transfer, and NPI in a start-up environment preferred.
• Good interdepartmental communication skills and ability to interact effectively across groups within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using process engineering tools for yield improvement and process stability (e.g. Cp/CpK, Pareto Analysis, Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC)).

Estimated base salary range in California is $110,000 - $150,000.
