We are seeking a skilled and innovative Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on designing and developing so0ftware and some hardware solutions supporting the Joint Counter Small Unmanned Aerial Systems Office (JCO) supporting the U.S. Army’s Fixed Site-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Integrated Defeat System (FS-LIDS) counter UAS program. The FS-LIDS solution is equipped with SRC Technology’s AN/TPQ-50 air surveillance radar, counter-sUAS EW system and electro-optic / infrared camera.

Position, is Full Time in Huntsville, Alabama

Secret Security Clearance Required, TS Prefered

Qualifications:

• BS/BA or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or another technical related field
• 10 years' of software development experience.
• Strong working knowledge and hands on experience and Skilled with the Software languages used on FS-LIDS:
• C (MCU SW (Camera)),
• C , C#,
• JavaScript,
• React Framework (Maintenance Tool),
• Python, and
• VHDL (Firmware).
• Strong working knowledge of object-oriented design (OOD) principles and software architecture concepts
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and operating systems concepts
• Good understanding of parallelism/concurrency/threading in a distributed environment
• Great understanding of software development and deployment in a Linux/Unix environment
• Experience with agile scrum methodologies and practices
• Experienced in hardware-software integration or system integration
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Interface with the customer and software engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
• Product leadership and product ownership possible
• Responsible for ensuring software design documentation and architectural diagrams are developed and updated throughout project lifecycle in accordance with contract requirements
• Coordinate with division-level software leadership, program management, and product owners to ensure software meets contractual requirements
• Ensure software team adheres to coding standards and is thoroughly tested prior to pull request approval
• Develop software project-level testing strategy and coordinate with testing team to develop test plans
• Ensure software team adheres to strict development/testing and integration requirements
