Essential Duties

• Serve as a corporate travel agent in support of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation's business travel requirements
• Fulfill complimentary vacations resulting from promotions, prize giveaways, special events, and partnership marketing agreements. This includes all facets of complimentary lodging procurement, booking airline tickets and issuing lift tickets, approving issuance of complimentary airline tickets for prizewinners, company travel, and partnership marketing agreements
• Fulfill and track usage of airline travel certificates
• Coordinate travel and lodging for hosted special events. This includes negotiating free and reduced rate lodging with local properties while working within an allocated event budget for artists, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants
• Oversee promotional vacation and event travel commitments through corporate services coordinators, which includes: procuring lodging, booking airline tickets, issuing lift tickets and tracking and reporting total number of promotional vacations traded and redeemed on an annual basis
• Facilitate and track lift ticket barters with local properties and provide end-of-season reporting on all trades
• Oversee and manage lodging partnership program relating to trades for special events, prizewinners, and partnership marketing agreements. This includes tracking all trades that support marketing efforts and reporting to VP Sales & Marketing and Steamboat Lodging Committee
• Maintain a good working relationship with local property managers
• Prepare and update reports as needed
• Provide personal travel assistance and information in support of Steamboat Central Reservations, Corporate Services fulfillment clientele
• Oversee managed travel of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation and Alterra Mountain Company for bookings, including negotiating car and hotel rates and working with manager and airline program director on negotiating special airline rates, terms and conditions
• Develop and maintain processes to document all incoming requests, follow-up, and subsequent communication
• Implement and manage customer acquisition and retention through marketing, sales, exceptional customer service programs
• Keep the Inntopia Air Admin up to date and test in all sales channels where air is sold. Monitor that the appropriate markup is configured in comparison to similar published fares
• Assist Assistant Sales Manager with Central Reservations guest airline schedule changes
• Assist VIP Concierge Manager with guest bookings, airfare, and other duties as needed
• Assist Fulfillment Manager with printing and mailing of Central Reservations guest vacation packets as well as Presold Services duties such as guest communications, reservation modifications, ticket printing and delivery as needed.
• Assist contact center during high volume times by taking guest calls, chats, or emails as needed
• Assist with Product Maintenance configuration and reporting as needed
• Potential to serve as committee member for various events, summits, or annual conferences hosted by SSRC for key partners
• Develop and maintain airline contact database which includes tracking current contact information for all airline partners
• Build relationships with travel industry suppliers and local company vendors that provide in-kind lodging trade for corporate services prize fulfillment
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
• Attend team meetings, as required
• This position has the flexibility to work from the Steamboat Administrative building, remotely, or hybrid. If you are interested in remote work, you must be located in the Yampa Valley to go into the office as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Six months previous Steamboat Central Reservations agent experience, preferred
• 1 year prior airline or travel agent employment experience, preferred
• Must have personal travel experience
• Must have knowledge of basic accounting principles with experience in sales and relationship building
• Must have previous marketing and/or advertising experience; including special events and promotions
• Prefer knowledge of Inntopia, Avaya and NICE InContact telephone systems, Apollo GDS System, ARC procedures, reservation policies, airline policies and fare rules, Steamboat Springs' local lodging and activity community, Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation's products, Steamboat Central Reservation's products, and travel reference materials
• Computer literacy, Microsoft Office programs, and general office equipment, required
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, solve problems, prioritize responsibilities, efficiently manage their time to complete work in a timely manner, be highly organized, self-directed, and flexible
• Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC's Service Excellence standards.

Education Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• College degree preferred

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hourPhysical Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to sit, operate computer keyboards, and wear a telephone headset for long periods of time
• Must be able to professionally communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to lift approximately 30 lbs (brochure boxes)
• Must be able to work in fast-paced and often hectic or noisy environment
• Must be able to adapt to working with interruptions in work process
• Ability to work in an office environment with varying temperatures
