Stedman Machine Company is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to enhance customer operations, ensure accurate sales quotes, and drive team success. Join us in a dynamic environment where your skills will directly impact our growth and customer satisfaction.
Primary Functions:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer and end user operations.
- Review Regional Sales Manager Quotes, ensuring accuracy in application, pricing and consistency. Approve discounts and sign Quote Approval Slip.
- Analyze and discuss applications for inquiries to determine optimal solutions.
- Provide training to new department employees.
- Monitor and respond to sales team communications. Coordinate internal follow ups as needed.
- Conduct regular progress checks, pre-final and final inspections for all unit orders.
- Prepare various reports, forms, lists, field reports or documents for maintenance of records (Cost Estimates, Price Sheets, Sales Orders, Etc.)
- Collaborate with the Accounting Department on collections for units and systems to ensure timely payments.
- Work closely with vendors to source appropriate motors, soft starts, and VFD's for customer projects.
- Provide trade show support including attendance as needed.
- Travel as needed to develop specific projects, markets, customers and nurture existing customer accounts.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Prefer Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business or equal experience.
- Trained and proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows software applications.
- Strong oral and writing skills.
Travel:
- Up to 20% - as required by Sales activities.
- Travel by automobile or air, nationally and internationally, overnight for extended stays out of town 5 days or more.
- VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND PASSPORT ARE REQUIRED.
Physical/Mental Demands
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, change tasks on little or no notice.
- Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced work environment due to short deliveries, competitive nature of business, travel schedule, multiple types of personalities and individual deadlines set by supervision.
- Must be physically able to safely climb ladders, stairs, elevated walkways and other commonly encountered field conditions.
- Detail oriented, good organizational skills, and task prioritization.
