Managerial Structure
The paraprofessional will report directly to the Managing Director of Diverse Learning.
Position Summary
Paraprofessional responsibilities include providing staff support in an educational environment. Paraprofessionals will work with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction on reading, writing, math, and other education related activities as assigned by the lead teacher’s directions or the Director of Diverse Learning.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Direct Student Support
- Leads highly effective small groups with curriculum fidelity
- Track student small group academic data
Other Duties Responsibilities
- Covers lead teachers as needed and assigned
- Supervises lunch and recess for assigned grade level and students
- Administer assigned arrival and dismissal duties
Other
- Support lead teacher with classroom duties as assigned
- Implement school wide culture expectations
- Participate in whole staff and instructional professional development
- Attend weekly Student Support Team meetings

Qualifications: Education and Prior Experience
- Professional development on and experience in implementing the Science of Reading preferred
- Paraprofessional Licensure Preferred
- Associate/Bachelor’s Degree accepted
- Experience working with school-age children
Work Demands
- Passes a criminal background check, as required by law
