Steel Dynamics is Hiring a Scrap Inspector - Columbus FRG Near Columbus, MS
Overview:
Inspects the quality of scrap into the yard
Responsibilities:- Follow safety requirements
- Follow work procedures to ensure high quality scrap for our mill
- Scrap inspection
- Testing of scrap chemistry
- Reporting non-conforming material
- Communicate effectively with other employees and on-site contractors
- Strong safety awareness
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and walk several miles per day
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, & electronic)
- Self-motivated
- Works well with others
- Quality & detail oriented
- Outstanding computer skills including Excel and Word
