This role works under the direction of the IT Network and Systems Manager to support global infrastructure and systems maintenance. This position is responsible for assessing information risk and facilitating remediation of all identified vulnerabilities and risk across all of Lucas and work towards Lucas achieving and maintaining NIST/CMMC2.0 Certification Compliance.
  • Through team collaboration, develop, implement, and maintain information security plans and policies.
  • Project Lead in coordinating and implementing NIST/CMMC2.0 for Lucas in achieving certification compliance in those Government Standards.
  • Identify architectural deficiencies and develop/implement vulnerability mitigation strategies to address them surrounding existing automation tools or manual if needed.
  • Security Operator/Analyst of existing and future security solutions, including advanced security of hardware through the Meraki portal. E;g MX Firewalls, Switches and intrusion detection systems.
  • Review and maintenance of Defender Anti-virus, CrowdStrike NextGen A/V or future products.
  • Maintain knowledge of currently evolving security threats and trends required to bring timely remediation to critical vulnerabilities and proactively mitigate security risks by threat hunting in environment.
  • Coordinate IT security assessments and develop prioritized remediation plans, as necessary per business requirements.
  • Review, coordinate and conduct periodic network scans to find vulnerabilities from existing solutions, update or remove vulnerable software using Intune automation or manual remediation if necessary.
  • Conduct and coordinate penetration tests, simulating an attack on systems and endpoints to find exploitable weaknesses through Red/Blue approach exercises.
  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, using existing and future solutions that detect intrusions and anomalous system behavior and remediate if necessary.
  • Investigate security breaches as they occur until completion.
  • Coordinate team incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then conducting a technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage through final remediation.
  • Communicate and report on significant security events and incidents to include management summaries and technical briefings appropriate for different audiences.
  • Maintain and schedule end user cyber-security training and awareness campaigns.
  • Support IT Network and Systems Manager in all infrastructure design and capacity planning and help troubleshoot when any problems/issues arise.
  • Assist in the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, Servers, Endpoints (PC’s/Mobile Devices), Operating Systems, Hardware, Software peripherals and Office Automation Equipment.
  • Interact with vendors and contractors, internal employees to secure network products and services.
  • Assist in administration of infrastructure hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, servers, and storage.
  • Administration support of network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Assist in performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Recommend, schedule, and assist in performing relevant improvements, upgrades, and repairs as needed.
  • Assist in performing server and security audits.
  • Provides Tier 2 support and handles any escalations from Service Desk and other IT support teams as needed
Requirements
  • Expertise in anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods
  • Proficiency in planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Must possess subject matter expertise implementing security controls and threat protection, managing identity and access, and protecting data, applications, and networks in cloud and hybrid environments as part of an end-to-end infrastructure environment.
  • Proficiency in several security technologies including data loss prevention, encryption, cloud access security brokers, identity and access management, micro-segmentation, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and perimeter defense.
  • System administration, supporting multiple versions of Microsoft Windows and application services.
  • Must possess strong technical knowledge of Telecommunications, Network and PC Operating Systems.
  • Must possess strong knowledge of network hardware, software, protocols, and standards.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • High-level of self-motivation keeping attention to the strictest detail.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • 5 years of overall IT experience (additional education may substitute)
  • 5 years of experience in network administration, Active Directory / Azure Active Directory
  • Cyber-security certifications in AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security or CISSP or equivalent experience of 5 years’ experience in professional ISSE role.
  • CrowdStrike Next Gen AV (Anti-Virus), Microsoft Defender XDR, KnowBe4 cyber training a plus.
