Work Hours: M-F (40 hours)
Work Location: Hayward, CA
Shift: 1st Shift with possible weekend and daily OT work. 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to the building, grounds, and critical manufacturing support systems. Support the facilities department to perform preventative maintenance activities.
- (List of primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. Incumbent may perform other duties as assigned.)
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to the building and grounds as required to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform electrical (120V, 208V: 3-phase, 480v: 3-phase) and HVAC work. HVAC work will include cooling/refrigeration system maintenance
- Provide support to ensure pest control and building security requirements are maintained.
- Performed assigned preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled to ensure reliability of equipment and compliance with specifications.
- Perform support and maintenance of the plant critical systems (HVAC, Compressed Air, Purified Compendial Water Systems, Nitrogen) to ensure efficient operation and compliance with specifications.
- Support production and maintenance technicians as required to maintain plant manufacturing operation activities.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of cGMP regulations. Good procedural writing skills.

- High school diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of mechanical systems repair is desired.

- Pulling . Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Lifting . Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles
- Grasping . Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Feeling . Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
- Talking . Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing . Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
- The physical requirements of this position
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field vision
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)
