We are hiring a Banking Operations Accountant for a key client of ours in Newark NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial transactions and operations of our client and their residential and corporate customers. You will work on a hybrid work schedule reporting to the offices in Newark NJ, at least one day every week, working remotely the other days.

We are hiring a Banking Operations Accountant for a key client of ours in Newark NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial transactions and operations of our client and their residential and corporate customers. Responsibilities
- Process and upload daily customer refund checks
- Download and review positive pay statements
- Set up and monitor customer accounts
- Lockbox check application and research if needed
- Lost paycheck replacement requests
- Provide check status and void AP/claim checks per request
- Monthly closing journal entries
- Monthly account reconciliations
- Other daily financial transaction duties
- Proven experience working in banking operations or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
