Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading department staff in receiving, shipping, storing, and handling raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensures timely, accurate, and quality processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Responsible for quality inspection of incoming raw materials.
- Responsible to participate in hiring process, performance reviews, employee coaching, and termination recommendations.
- Maintains compliance with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving records.
- Manages appropriate certifications of department staff for the safe operation of equipment.
- Will assist in recommending purchases of new capital equipment and ideas to improve quality, production, processes, or working conditions.
- Responsible for all training activities within the department.
- Responsible for communicating department and staffing needs with VP of Supply Chain.
- Assists Freight Coordinator with scheduling and deployment of outbound transportation.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
- Support and help develop their team with professional development short and long term goals.
- Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Quality - Actively support and participate in Quality Improvement.
- Take immediate action in unsafe situations.
- Adhere to all safety standards; thus, promoting safe practices to ensure a safe environment.

- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 - 5 years of related work experience
- Intermediate computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills
- Forklift use, valid driver's license
- -OR-
- An acceptable combination of education and experience
- This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree
- Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending
- Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities
- Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed
- This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions
