Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary arts, and a background in the food industry. Duties: - Develop and create innovative menus that meet the needs and preferences of our customers - Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards - Manage inventory and control food costs to maximize profitability - Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures - Collaborate with other departments, such as the dietary department and bartending staff, to ensure smooth operations - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment - Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times - Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques Experience: - Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the culinary industry - Strong knowledge of culinary arts, including various cooking techniques and flavor profiles - Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Previous experience in shift management and team management - Knowledge of food service regulations and best practices for food safety - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Skills: - Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff - Supervising: Experience in supervising kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food preparation - Culinary: Strong knowledge of culinary arts, including menu planning, recipe creation, and flavor profiles - Food industry: Familiarity with the food industry trends, customer preferences, and dietary restrictions - Hospitality: Commitment to providing excellent customer service through exceptional food quality and presentation - Bartending: Understanding of bar operations and ability to collaborate with bartending staff - Shift management: Experience in managing shift schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels - Dietary department: Ability to collaborate with the dietary department to meet specific dietary needs of customers - Team management: Strong skills in managing and motivating a team of kitchen staff - Food service: Knowledge of food service regulations and best practices for food safety We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including health insurance and paid time off.
