Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 / year
Description
Stellar Management is looking for a Paralegal/Collection Specialist. This role will be responsible for facilitating the collection of arrears across our residential and commercial portfolio through building relationships with tenants. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills and will be able to independently craft a collection strategy for each property.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review arrears reports for all properties in the portfolio and identifying underperforming assets
  • Develop collection strategies to optimize collections
  • Coordinate with the legal team on the commencement of the collection process
  • Communicate with outside attorneys on the collection of arrears for current and former tenants
  • Coordinate with property managers on the collection of outstanding arrears
  • Contact residents regarding outstanding balances
  • Resolve billing issues with residents and coordinate with the accounting department to correct billing errors
  • Draft and monitor payment plan agreements
  • Act as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in collections
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of the Yardi system is very important
  • Ability to engage in telephone communications in a professional manner
  • Ability to use and understand Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively
  • Organizational skills; ability to follow-up independently
Salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending upon experience.
