Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Stellar Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Reliability Engineer to assess the reliability of space hardware. The role involves analyzing inputs from the Bill of Materials (BOM), radiation data, FMECA, and thermal analysis provided by the customer. The successful candidate will mature and complete these analyses and create a FMECA and reliability block diagram to predict system performance under various conditions.This is a part-time position where the successful candidate will be expected to work less than 1,000 hours per year and as such, not eligible for additional benefits. 

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Maturation:

• Analyze radiation data from the parts list
• Complete FMECA on the electronics box

Reliability Prediction:

• Develop a reliability block diagram to predict P_s over customer defined years and operating and environmental conditions

Deliver comprehensive reports, including:

Product Reliability Report

• Elevated Failure Risk Report
• Design for Reliability Trade Report
• FMECA

Qualifications:

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering, or physics
• Experience in reliability engineering for space hardware
• Strong skills in FMECA, reliability block diagram creation, and radiation data analysis
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and report-writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

The typical pay range for this position is USD $130,000 - $220,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. As a part-time position, this position is not eligible for additional benefits
