Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD for an exciting Virtual Reality Warehouse Implementation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a digital clone of an 80,000 sq ft manufacturing facility using Magic Leap and Visual Components AutoCAD software. This role involves working closely with the client to design, develop, and implement a virtual reality model to run efficiency tests and optimize the facility's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Virtual Reality Warehouse Development: Utilize Magic Leap and Visual Components AutoCAD software to create a detailed and accurate digital clone of the manufacturing facility.
Efficiency Testing: Conduct virtual efficiency tests within the created digital environment to identify and address potential operational issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with the client and other stakeholders to understand requirements, gather necessary data, and ensure the virtual model meets all specifications.
Design and Modeling: Develop comprehensive mechanical designs and models that accurately represent the physical facility, including machinery, layout, and workflow.
Project Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure that all project milestones are met.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to the client on the use of the virtual reality showroom for ongoing operational efficiency testing.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Proven experience with AutoCAD software.
Experience with Virtual Reality (VR) applications, specifically Magic Leap and Visual Components, is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed mechanical designs and models.
Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and facility layout optimization.
Ability to conduct efficiency tests and analyze data to make informed recommendations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and clients.
Location: Ability to work on-site in Tolleson, AZ as needed.
