Job SummaryAs a Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions that meet the organization's technological and business needs. You will work closely with stakeholders, such as IT managers, system administrators, and engineers, to develop and maintain a robust and scalable network infrastructure. Your expertise in network design, security, and optimization will be essential in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of the organization's network
Responsibilities
- Network Design: Develop strategic network architecture plans, considering factors such as capacity, scalability, performance, and security. Design and document network diagrams, including physical and logical configurations.
- Network Infrastructure Implementation: Implement network solutions based on architectural designs, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards. Configure and deploy network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices.
- Network Security: Assess and enhance network security measures, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, and access controls. Identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate security risks.
- Network Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Optimize network traffic flow, bandwidth utilization, and Quality of Service (QoS) to maximize efficiency and user experience.
- Network Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Investigate and resolve network issues, utilizing troubleshooting tools and methodologies. Perform network maintenance tasks, including firmware upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacements.
- Network Standards and Documentation: Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and standards related to networking. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Switching & Routing expertise (Cisco and Aruba Preferred)
- Wireless expertise (Aruba preferred)
- Network Access Control (NAC) expertise (Aruba Clearpass)
- Fortinet Firewall expertise (policy, UTM, BGP, VIP, Site-to-Site IPSEC VPN, NAT, etc)
- Fortimanager NSE7 capable in Fortigate, Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer
- Solarwinds expertise (NCM, NPM, IPAM, other)
- Nice to Have (a good amount of)
- Citrix NetScaler load balancing and GSLB expertise
