Location: Onsite West Des Moines, IA (4 Days/Week, 1 Day/Remote) LOCAL ONLYJob Type : Contract LOCAL ONLY Interview Style: 1-2 Rounds, Locals must be willing to go onsite for second round interview if requested Manager Note: Looking for Cloud migration or modernization experienceJob Description SummaryThe Senior Project Manager will lead multiple, complex projects; supporting business and IT initiatives designed to drive business growth, operational optimization, and system implementations.
Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent professional/technical experience required.
7 years of progressive responsibility & success within Project Management required including 2 or more years Project Management experience in a cross functional Agile environment.
Preferred Experience with large system implementations and/or system upgrades preferred. Previous insurance or financial services experience preferred.Skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, etc.).
Demonstrated strong understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes with specific experience managing projects in Agile, Waterfall or blended methodologies.
Job DescriptionExperience with Atlassian Jira application preferred.Leads multiple large, complex projects with accelerated timelines within IT using Agile/Iterative methodologies.
Demonstrating The Drivers Of Project Management Effectiveness Including
Participates in the PM community of practice and ensures process changes are followed throughout the execution of projects.
Stage gate planning and material prep, estimating and forecasting, building out portfolio epics and milestones for delivery with an overall view of cross functional priorities and objectives for the team.
Assists with Project Steering Group preparation and prioritization.
Serves as coach for other PMs in the team, if requested.
