Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our cloud migration and application modernization initiatives by creating clear, comprehensive technical documentation and communication strategies. The Technical Writer will document processes, develop SOPs, and facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, process flows, and technical releases.
- Create content to explain new technologies and processes, helping implement solutions that improve information delivery to stakeholders.
- Document and track project updates using Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Assist in process engineering and re-engineering initiatives.
- Develop and execute communication strategies for the team.
- Maintain a documentation hub, ensuring timely updates, reviews, and periodic refreshes.
- Collaborate with application teams to document their cloud migration journey and optimize processes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clarity and accuracy in technical documentation.
Must:
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office tools (including MS Teams).
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and articulate technical topics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 7 years of experience in technical writing, particularly within IT and cloud-based projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, assume accountability, and adapt to changing requirements.
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Attend and document various meetings and working sessions.
- Develop and document process flows and SOPs.
- Track project updates and progress in Jira and Confluence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity and accuracy in technical documentation.
- Maintain and organize a documentation hub for easy access and updates
