Manager of Fixed AssetsCoppell, Texas - 4 Days onsite - Local candidates highly preferred and will consider Non Local candidates who can relocate immediatelyNOTES From The DIRECTOR
- Person will be reporting to the Director of Fixed Assets
- They are in the middle of doing a Workday implementation. Go-live will be in May - Don’t need implementation experience
- This person will be working with the Workday Implementer & Accounting team
- Must have Fixed Asset experience within Workday experience.
- Would like someone with Retail background or Hospitality.
- Prefer someone with Accounting Degree
- Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting for the company.
- Review fixed asset additions and retirements, depreciation expense, gain/loss on disposals and all related reconciliations.?
- Maintain the company’s fixed asset policy and ensure it is in compliance with GAAP. Including assisting and guiding other departments in determining what costs qualify as capitalizable.
- Prepare and record internal capitalized compensation costs.
- Prepares account reconciliations for areas assigned.
- Review/prepare quarterly and annual schedules and analysis for auditors/tax consultants.
- Ensure company is in compliance with internal SOX controls for areas assigned.
- Assists in the development of Company accounting policies and process improvement initiatives at store and corporate levels.
- This position has one direct report with potential to grow in the future as well as 2 indirect reports.
- Workday Implementation experience working with the implementer and accounting team.
- Multi-Unit Management
- Experience with project management and/or implementation.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
- Proficient with basic computer applications, including Excel, Word, E-Mail. 10-key by touch required.
- Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers or employees of organization.
