100% Onsite role, must be localneed LinkedInOverviewThe Senior Workday Project Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Workday systems within the organization. This role requires deep expertise in Workday functionalities, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful Workday implementations, upgrades, and system optimizations.
Responsibilities
  • Workday Implementation and Upgrades:
    • Lead end-to-end implementation of Workday modules, including Financial Management, Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, and others.
    • Manage upgrades to new versions of Workday, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
    • Collaborate with IT teams and external consultants to configure Workday according to business requirements.
  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop detailed project plans for Workday implementations, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish deliverables.
    • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and communicate updates to project teams and leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors during Workday projects.
    • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
    • Provide clear and timely communication on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • System Configuration and Optimization:
    • Configure Workday modules based on business requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
    • Collaborate with functional leads to design and implement custom reports, dashboards, and analytics.
    • Identify opportunities for system enhancements, process improvements, and efficiency gains within Workday.
  • User Training and Support:
    • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users on Workday functionalities, processes, and best practices.
    • Provide ongoing support to users, troubleshooting issues, and addressing system-related inquiries.
    • Create and maintain user documentation, guides, and resources to promote self-service capabilities.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing:
    • Develop test plans, scripts, and scenarios to validate Workday configurations and integrations.
    • Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing to ensure system integrity.
    • Work closely with QA teams to resolve defects, bugs, and issues identified during testing phases.
  • Vendor Management and Relationship Building:
    • Manage relationships with Workday implementation partners, consultants, and vendors.
    • Collaborate on project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations with external partners.
    • Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to project budgets.
  • Change Management and Adoption:
    • Develop change management strategies to promote user adoption of new Workday functionalities.
    • Engage with stakeholders to assess organizational readiness, identify change impacts, and develop training plans.
    • Monitor post-implementation feedback, gather insights, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Workday certification (e.g., Workday HCM, Financials, Integrations) is nice to have.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workday implementations, configurations, and support.
  • Proven track record of leading successful Workday projects, from initiation to post-implementation support.
  • Strong project management skills, with proficiency in project planning, resource management, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday functionalities, business processes, and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
