Hours and Rate

Average hours per week: approx. 16-25, unless other duties & projects are assigned Rate: Starting at $13.00 per hour
Schedule: Evenings Monday through Friday, 12:30pm to 5:30pm unless scheduled otherwise

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision of students during the Summer program, including meal times, homework help sessions, enrichment activities, recreation, and transitions
Provide encouragement and mentoring support to students during homework help sessions
Facilitate, and implement daily age appropriate enrichment activities within an established framework

Schedule guest speakers, coordinate community service projects, and organize special events, as appropriate Implement effective discipline and classroom management techniques
Instruct students on the safe and proper use of supplies and equipment
Interact professionally and appropriately with parents, teachers, school personnel, and other afterschool program staff members

Participate in site staff meetings, regional staff meetings, and in-service trainings Participate in cleaning and maintaining the facilities and equipment
Comply with all documentation, data collection, and reporting requirements Comply with all relevant policies and procedures

Perform related duties as assigned

The employee is expected to work both inside and outside in a variety of temperature and weather conditions.

Qualification

Previous child care, preferred but not required
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
Models a passion for learning
Able to work late afternoons and evenings, as well as participate in occasional day-time trainings Background/Fingerprint clearance

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
