ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Use Workday effectively and independently to accomplish stated job goals and responsibilities.
• Evaluate all incoming invoices, determine priority for processing and payment, and appropriate action if already paid or appears to be in error.
• Make business decisions to determine appropriate action for each AP invoice and email message received.
• Process supplier statements which include: compare invoices paid in Workday, identify missing invoices, and reconcile discrepancies with suppliers.
• Set up and maintain new Insurance supplier records in Workday with appropriate coding for processing and tax reporting.
• Code and process Insurance Supplier invoices, routing for manager approval.
• Record incoming wires and AP-related checks received by preparing general ledger journal entries with appropriate coding.
• Work closely with the AP Accountants and Assistant Supervisor to effectively communicate changes/needs as they arise throughout the day.
• Respond to incoming supplier and employee inquiries regarding AP payments from Workday and resolve any issues.
• Assist other AP positions during absences, vacations, and peak workload periods.
• Print and distribute AP checks daily, including any required remittance information.
• Sort all Accounting Department incoming physical mail, relaying to appropriate person.
• Order supplies and answer phones for Accounting Department.
• Scan images into RMOL, checking for accuracy, completeness, and proper indexing.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
• 1-2 years of related experience with AP experience preferred
• An equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
