Position Summary
The Senior Business Operations Analyst is responsible for developing and supporting Sales Business Intelligence solutions. Responsible for evaluating and developing performance review processes. Works in conjunction with management to define business objectives, develop KPIs to manage objective outcomes. Provides recommendations to senior management that leverage outcome of empirical data analysis.
Duties
- Develops training content, materials and educational curriculum for business stakeholders on analytical cubes, dashboards and analytical reporting.
- Demonstrates and trains sales, operations and finance staff on basic analytical interpretation, standard report execution, and presentation preparation.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert as well as a technical expert for IMS Personnel as it relates to systems, data, and reporting tools.
- Provides instruction on the effective use of IT tools used to gather and present accurate information to internal / external stakeholders
- Defines requirements for data warehousing and analytical data structures.
- Responsible for being the technical lead to the technologies used to develop the presentation and distribution layer of BI solutions
- Primarily responsible for the statistical modeling, metric definition and visualization that enables business leaders to make decisions throughout the organization.
- Reports directly and works closely with the BI / IT Management to determine direction, goals, objectives and performance of business intelligence solutions.
- Participates in project planning to align project goals and timelines with available resources
- Leads projects comprised of Business Intelligence Analysts to develop and deliver a self-service interactive presentation platform utilizing a variety of technologies.
- Ensures reports, dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) are accurate, high quality, intuitive to ensure utilization within the organization.
- Identifies, analyzes, interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets and introduces policy recommendations based on complex data.
- Perform basic/intermediate statistical analyses for projects and reports.
- Manages daily operations of automated BI systems and is accountable for report/dashboard design, development, and validation.
- Assists in research and documentation of project requirements
- Works closely with senior management, other analyst, and key stakeholders across all other layers of management to gather requirements, design solutions, and align BI deliverables to meet organizational needs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics or similar degree required with 5 years' relevant experience
- Minimum 5 Years of work experience in:
- Ability to design, analyze, translate and present complex data into management information
- Experience in developing reports, dashboards, and data visualization techniques
- Translating and documenting of business needs to technical requirements
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in:
- Developing and implementing educational curriculum around reporting definitions and capabilities
- Creating data validation review processes and test plans
- Managing and routing requests to associated team members
- Demonstrated experience in BI technologies
- Excel
- Tableau
- SSRS
- Crystal Reports
- SQL
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
