Overview:

Sterling Adaptives supplies the most technologically advanced equipment and software currently on the market to those with disabilities with a history of successfully serving clients who are blind or have visual impairments.

We are looking to grow our Santa Rosa, CA team by adding a second person to the Sales and Procurement Logistics department. Our new Inside Sales and Quoting Specialist should be a motivated individual who is highly organized and detail-oriented. This person plays a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive quotes for our clients while keeping an eye on the bigger picture to ensure all clients' needs are met and exceeded with each and every order. They will work closely with our Product Specialists who are in the field, supporting their efforts to turn demonstrations into sales and leading that process with driven attention through to successful completion. Their ability to analyze requirements, develop pricing, and communicate effectively will contribute to our success and maintaining client satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate possesses a broad understanding of how a business operates, including factors impacting profitability and considerations for ensuring profitability. They have some knowledge of channel management, understanding how a distributor relates to a reseller and how a reseller relates to a sub-dealer. They are commercially aware, goal-oriented, and a strategic thinker who can quickly devise creative ways to close deals or secure orders. They are self-motivated but able to easily collaborate with a team. They want to win but know how to lead with empathy. A bonus trait would be a broad understanding of computer systems, including the basics of internal workings such as differences between memory and hard drive space, or demonstrate the ability to learn this quickly.

Responsibilities:

Quoting

• Collaborate with your department to distribute requests and complete customer quotes in a timely manner.
• Review and analyze quote requests, considering client disabilities and funding sources.
• Collaborate with the AT Specialist or CEO as needed to determine suitable technology.
• Prepare detailed and competitive quotes, ensuring competitive pricing aligned with company strategies.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date pricing information in our accounting system and on our website
• Continuously enhance the quoting process, identifying opportunities for streamlining and automation.

Inside Sales Support

• Supporting a full sales cycle alongside our product specialists
• Support the department in their goals to review and revise quotes and leads, track their status, and provide regular updates to the team.
• Work closely with leadership and the Marketing Specialist to ensure our presence in the marketplace is aligned with our company goals.
• Allocate existing products for new orders and ensure orders are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner.
• Confirm new orders for accuracy and communicate updates to customers as needed.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor pricing, ensuring compliance with state requirements.

Relationship Management

• Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints via phone or email in a timely and professional manner.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, promoting customer loyalty.
• Think beyond the immediate sale and consider long-term relationship building and account management.

Team-Based Fulfillment Responsibilities

• Verify and organize incoming deliveries accurately.
• Monitor and report low stock levels for timely reordering.
• Retrieve items based on customer orders efficiently.
• Pick and pack items with precision, securely packaging items to prevent transportation damage.
• Maintain a clean and organized packing/shipping area.

Compensation:

This role is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position. The target rate for this role is $25-29 per hour. The company also offers valuable benefits such as paid holidays, vacation leave, and paid sick days.
