Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative will handle customer requests for quotes, orders, part identification, and lead times. You will prepare quotations for standard products, process orders, and manage product line conversions. The customer service rep will collaborate with other departments to manage purchase orders, provide quotations, identify parts, and deliver exceptional service to customers and sales representatives.

Job Duties:

• Receive and process customer requests for price quotes, part identification, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations.
• Use the Epicor system to access customer information, stock status, pricing, and purchase order status.
• Adhere to pricing guidelines based on product and customer type.
• Follow up on inquiries by checking the Epicor system for delivery information and coordinating with the expeditor for shipment schedules.
• Convert customers to current product lines when possible.
• Refer customers to local distributors.
• Handle distributor commission processes as needed.
• Check credit status for rush orders with Accounts Receivable.
• Maintain files of active orders, including policy requirements, change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes.
• Prepare paperwork for RMAs and customer credits.
• Provide quotations within 2 working days.
• Refer orders to appropriate departments for processing.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication, mathematic, and reasoning skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively over the phone with customers and distributors.
• Ability to write standard documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
