Job Summary : The Material Data Specialist is responsible for performing day-to-day activities related to creating and maintaining master data.

This role ensures data quality and adherence to governance standards while supporting key business processes.

Responsibilities :

Data Quality Measures & Controls :

• Create Master Data in alignment with defined data definitions, quality standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Identify data quality issues by profiling data and executing remediation activities.
• Provide information to generate data quality metrics and performance indicators.

Standards, Policies, & Processes :

• Maintain data according to established guidelines and governance standards.
• Perform daily activities of creating and updating master data as per defined processes and SLAs.
• Escalate issues to the Business Process and Data Owner when necessary.
• Execute enterprise data governance standards, policies, and processes.
• Conduct impact analysis of changes to data definitions, metrics, business rules, and governance standards.
• Implement data governance decisions, including data changes and cleansing activities.
• Provide input to Data Domain Leads and Data Stewards on specific data operations processes.

Training & Document Repository Management :

Assist with maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), Visio process diagrams, data dictionaries, job aids, and other domain-specific documentation.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Understanding of the Order to Cash process, Supply Chain cycle, and the impact of Master Data on these areas, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
