Position: Product Training Engineer
Location: Germantown, WI

Salary: $95k-$97k/yr.
Sterling Engineering is looking for an entry level product training engineer for a manufacturer/ distributor of electrical components in Germantown, WI. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company!
Job Duties:

• Lead or participate in training company customers, distributors, and staff on Automation components and software.
• Conduct remote training programs at customer or distributor locations.
• Collaborate with the training department to ensure consistent learning outcomes.
• Develop and maintain product training materials (manuals, videos) and hardware.
• Design training programs to support corporate sales goals and enhance product knowledge.
• Identify training needs with Regional Sales Managers, Field Application Engineers, and Distributor Manager.
• Interface with product management to integrate new products into training and provide feedback.
• Stay updated on products, industry trends, and competition through internal and external resources.
• Update, present, and evaluate the effectiveness of established training programs.
• Research and implement new methods for delivering training in the field.
• Possess strong organizational, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team setting.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years recent work experience in engineering and/or training in the automation industry.
• Programming experience in C, C , Ladder Logic, PLC (Allen Bradley OR Siemens), or Structured Text preferred.
• Familiarity with Cloud Services, IIOT, Node-Red, and JSON preferred.
