Are you a mechanical or industrial engineer looking to transition into supply chain? The Supply Chain Engineer role might be the perfect fit for you. This position involves data analysis, market research, and collaboration with various teams to optimize business operations in heavy industrial manufacturing.

Job Duties :

• Develop cost-effective components and new suppliers by evaluating costs and seeking economical alternatives.
• Document activities during the component development stage, perform tests for performance analysis, and document results.
• Lead product changes and improvements as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the supply chain engineering field.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and manufacturing teams to select the best vendors and distributors.
• Manage projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, goal setting, and creating timelines.
• Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical), Logistics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience leading continuous improvement; Lean Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred.

Additional Information :

• This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with an expected 2/3 or 3/2 days split, depending on the agreement.
• Candidates within a 2-3 hour drive from Alexandria are preferred. Mileage and local hotel stays will be covered as needed.
