As an Assistant Superintendent you will:

• Coordinate and supervise applicable construction activities.
• Enforce the Sterling safety program to ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards.
• Walk the jobsite daily (morning and afternoon) to review progress, quality, and safety.
• Participate in all site-based meetings including Sterling daily huddles, subcontractor daily huddles, weekly subcontractor coordination, etc.
• Daily review of schedule and coordination with subcontractors.
• Perform all quality control inspections.
• Manage the jobsite logistics plan created by the Superintendent.
• Keep the job site office/trailer clean and organized.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other colleagues.
• Supervise completion of final punch lists for timely building turnover.
• Attend staff meetings, workshops and assigned training.
• Always conduct yourself professionally and maintain a professional appearance.
• Maintain the cloud-based filing system per policy.
• Perform all other site related duties as needed and/or as assigned by the Superintendent.
• Hours are designated by your supervisor and determined by the needs of the project.

Reports to: Superintendent

Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years hands on construction field experience.
• Slab on grade wood framed construction.
• Minimum project size: 150 units
• Minimum project value: $15 MILLION

Experience Preferred

• Multifamily construction.
• Major site development.
• Scheduling knowledge and management (Microsoft Project or equivalent)

Qualifications:

• Construction management degree preferred
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Prioritize effectively, recognize and address work related issues as they occur.
• Ability to read and comprehend plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Project management software knowledge (Procore or equivalent)
• Daily logs, Meetings, RFIs, Submittals, Punch List, Inspections, Observations, Drawings, Specifications, Incidents
• Must have the ability to live at the project location and relocate from project to project based on company needs.
