ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures one of the most comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. The ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses.
 
ACS Group has manufacturing facilities in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana with a third facility located in Suzhou, China to handle the needs of the Asian market.

With guidance from the Senior Product Manager, the Associate Product Manager provides leadership/secondary leadership across all functional areas of the company for his or her assigned products. This includes product strategies, new product development, product life-cycle management, pricing, marketing plans, profitability, operational, manufacturing and sales growth for the assigned product line under Sr. Product Manager supervision.A successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• Conduct comprehensive and detailed market analysis and compiles layers of in-depth analysis under limited supervision for existing and potential product lines or channel
• Has in-depth competitor and market share understanding
• Persuasively makes recommendations based on results
• Support Engineering as first point of contact for custom RFQ’s
• Lab testing and technical reporting
• Support the sales team with quotes
• Customer site visits (up to 20% travel)
• Liaison between Sr. PM and other cross-functional areas of the organization
• Creating and organizing data such as quotes, bookings, revenue
• Facilitate Business Unit Meetings with guidance from Sr. PM
• Support Sr. PM in crafting product roadmap strategies (secondary responsibility)
• Deep understanding of cost and pricing as it relates to the product category
• Support Sr. PM in S&OP forecasting process (secondary responsibility)
• Support Sr. PM & Marketing in capturing Voice of Customer (VOC)
• Has in-depth understanding of product line P&L (secondary responsibility)
• Understands quantitative analysis and NPD process
• Demonstrates high level presentation/communication skills
• Work effectively in cross-functional teams to champion projects to successful completion
• Secondary responsibility for maintaining price pages under Sr. PM supervision
• May have secondary responsibility to manage/mentor PM interns

Qualifications

A qualified candidate will be proactive, dedicated, and possess these basic requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3 years Marketing, Product Management or other relevant experience in a technical company
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage pivotal relationships with stakeholders and leaders across the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft® Office® suite
• Experience working with complex, engineered product lines
• Experience in sales and communicating with customers
• Plastics industry product experience is a plus
• International sales and marketing experience is a plus
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP and configurator systems is a plus
• Experience creating budgetary proposals or customer quotes
