Position : Education Program Coordinator
Location : Danville, VA
An education program in the Danville area is seeking a qualified individual to coordinate and manage a new education program, focusing on providing advanced training to individuals.
The coordinator will be responsible for supporting the learning capabilities of individuals and ensuring their success in completing the different courses.
Individuals with previous experience in military education programs would be highly suitable for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the processes and operations of the education program, working closely with students.
o Support student success
o Monitor student progress
o Address policy violations
o Refine policies
- Provide mentoring and guidance to students
- Assist in evaluating the program's effectiveness in addressing harassment and discrimination issues.
- Operate in alignment with the organization's values, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and open communication.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in human relations, education, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in education or training.
- Military experience in education development and management is a plus.
- Experience in project coordination, from inception to implementation.
- Experience in workforce development.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple projects.
- Previous work as an education counselor is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to operate through a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) lens.
