Steves & Sons is seeking a highly motivated PLC/ Equipment Programmer Intern
Programmers, designs, maintains, and troubleshoots machines and plants that use programmable logic controllers. Programmers implement connection points and logic for the process equipment to communicate with the other operating systems within the company. The PLC Programmer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the process. The PLC Programmer must be able to meet project timelines and could travel to maintain and upgrade software and hardware for customers in facilities.
Responsibilities
- Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements. Maintain an acceptable level of product knowledge.
- Respond to functional and technical elements by preparing plan of action and implementing to that plan meeting manufacturer’s software programs or previously developed standards.
- Resolve operational issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values and financial objectives.
- Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects.
Required:
- Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude or training
- Ability to manage and prioritize variable workload.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Programming Experience (Allen Bradley or PLC Programming)
- Robotics Programming
This position can be a Full time 40 hours per week or Part time 20 hours per week.
