Summary:
Under supervision, serves as liaison between the physicians, office support staff, and the Practice Manager. The Practice Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Practice Manager with all day-to-day operational, administrative, and fiscal aspects of the CMG physicians’ offices. The main responsibilities include performing and overseeing all administrative activities, including but not limited to, improving on functions of patient flow, appointment management, registration, cash collection, charge entry, controlling managed care issues, medical records and inventory control. Serves as an immediate contact for all internal and external customers. Works independently to resolve issues in a timely manner. Interacts with individuals at all levels within the office and the organization. In conjunction with the Practice Manager, creates an effective team, which emphasizes quality management and efficient, cost-effective operations.
Job Relationship:
The Practice Coordinator reports directly to the Practice Manager, but interacts administratively with the clinical staff and administrative staff.
Authority:
Has the authority to carry out the directives of the Practice Manager along with the authority to carry out the day-to-day activities involved in the operation of a physician practice within the overall boundaries of the CMG policies and procedures.
