We are looking for a usability researcher to join one of our large Redmond-based tech client’s AI experiences team. In this role you will drive, conduct, and collaborate on user research to clarify and gain better understanding of the needs and desires of the target users, mapping out user flows/journeys, validating the concept and designs, and driving and synthesizing insights that will facilitate the design/development of intelligent features and capabilities. You will work closely and collaboratively with Design (designers, researchers, content Strategists), PM, Data Science, and Engineering partners to design and ship the product experiences.
If you are the right fit, you are have the ability to quickly and effectively analyze research data and present actionable insights simply and clearly to influence product design and direction. You are comfortable tackling challenging research questions and transforming them into concrete study plans. You have experience in conducting product-related, gen-AI UX research and have the desire to learn about AI and quickly ramp up on technical aspects and user bases.
This is a remote, full time, 12 month contract engagement. Seattle area preferred for in person workshops. Pay rate range, depending on experience level: 55-65/hr. W2.
Required:
- 3 years of experience conducting product design research and demonstrated experience with a wide variety of design research methodologies including, but not limited to: usability studies, synthesis, field studies, in-depth interviews, heuristic evaluations, concept validation, user journey maps, competitive reviews, and surveys
- Strong presentation and communication skills Interacting with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting product-related, gen-AI UX research is a plus
